There are no 2010 released albums that i really feel like posting yet so i’m going to jump back to last summer. New Universe just washes over me like a technicolour wave. Their name, taken from part of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, aptly reflects their spacious soundscapes. Their melodies ricochet around your stereo but they are not vacuous and by no means do they stew in the copious reverb.
Piper and Sky are two sisters from Los Angeles, California. They, along with bassist Cody, play dreamy psych pop in a similar vein to their good friends and fellow Los Angelenos Best Coast. Their melodies wash over me like rays of warm sunshine…i just wish this had come out in mid July.
All recordings are ripped at high quality and usually by me. I post music for preview purposes only, and thus files should be deleted within 24 hours of download. If you happen to enjoy a record on here, then go and buy it. There is no substitute for the soft caress of fresh vinyl on yr turntable so don't settle for second-hand computer files.
